My name is Alisha Finch. I am from Whitefish River First Nation, and I am Bear Clan.

A lot of my teachings and knowledge came from Powwow friends, socials, and most of all, my Elders. Beading was taught to me from a childhood friend at a youth beading social at our local Indigenous friendship centre. Mitts and hats were taught to me from an Elder from Sagamok First Nation.

I am always learning our ways and artforms. It is very important to me.
