My name is David White Deer Charette. I grew up in Ottawa, Canada. My community is Wikwemikong, ON. I am an Ojibway two spirit artist. I started beading when I was 12. My sister taught me how to bead and my aunt taught me how to sew. My inspiration comes from growing up on the powwow trail. Theres just so much to look at from color schemes to desings. I look up to many indigenous artists including Barry Ace, Christi Belcourt, Nico Williams and many others.
