Robin Meise is a Cree artisit, her family originates from Frog Lake First Nations in Alberta Canada. She is the owner of Robins Cree Creations with 29 years of experience in beading and crafting. She was taught traditional crafts, beading, and spirituality from her father and Kookum from a very young age. Some of her favourite memories are crafting and learning about her heritage and spending time in nature. She was taught about wild edible and medicinal plants from her Father and Kookum. She was raised eating traditional Cree foods and still uses traditional healing methods today. She started Robins Cree Creations as her way to help keep the traditional teachings and culture alive and strong. Laura loves to pass on traditional knowledge to youth and others who want to learn. Lastly, she aims to keep her Indigenous traditions, spirituality, ancient knowledge and lifestyle alive for the next generations by sharing her culture and knowledge through her workshops, videos and art.
