I am the owner and founder of Tribal Fusion Art. I am an Anishinaabe Kwe (Ojibway woman) from Lake Manitoba First Nation in Manitoba. My traditional name is One Voice Woman. I began my journey in stained glass when I came across a beautiful stained glass piece and was inspired to learn how to do this creative art form.

I began taking classes and learned basic stained glass techniques including copper foil and lead, using traditional and contemporary patterns. In 2012 I was introduced to the world of fused glass and never looked back. I was inspired by the possibilities for expanding my creativity and bringing more of my own spirit and Indigenous heritage into my work.
I started on a new path when a friend asked me to create a series of corporate sponsorship gifts for Manitoba’s largest Indigenous gathering, Manito Abi. Suddenly corporate entities were calling and requesting corporate logos and custom designs. As my reputation grew, my art expanded into specialized commissioned Indigenous pieces, especially those involving spiritual names and cultural teachings, and I participated in many trade shows, and was featured in many gift stores and boutiques.

In 2017, I moved to Nova Scotia and set up my studio in Blockhouse, NS, where I continued to hone my glass skills, drawing upon my traditional Indigenous teachings and the natural world. I also love learning new technical glass techniques and have subscribed to many different courses. I recently created a driftwood and glass art line, that pays homage to my new territory.
Through Tribal Fusion Art, we have been offering Indigenous cultural experiences with both mosaic art classes and fused glass art classes.
