My name is Leanne Tulugaq Thompson, I’m originally from Rankin Inlet Nunavut now residing just outside of Ottawa. My throatsinging partner is Samantha Tootoo from Baker Lake Nunavut. Most throat singing songs are imitating the sounds of our environment in the North, growing up down south I haven’t had much access to my culture but learning throatsinging I feel I am revitalizing the Inuit ways of life.
