As an Indigenous artist, I do my best to keep a deep connection to my culture and traditions. I learned traditional techniques from my family and community, and was mentored by my Elders and other Indigenous artists. My teachers instilled in me the importance of storytelling, community, and connection to the land. I aim to promote cultural understanding, and empower Indigenous voices through my art. As well as weave together tradition and innovation to create a vibrant tapestry of Indigenous identity.
