Isabelle Chapadeau
Inuk
My name is Isabelle Chapadeau, I am an Inuk artist from Iqaluit, Nunavut. I started with a friend of mine who showed me how to bead and after this, I practiced at Native Montréal, when I was living there.

Later, I was back to my hometown and taught myself how to sew and use sealskin. Working in an Inuit art boutique helped me learn a lot that I could teach others. Inuit art is so precious, beautiful and I love how it’s a way to connect with people and to reconnect to the culture!
