Isabelle Chapadeau
Inuk, Quebec
My name is Isabelle Chapadeau. I am an Inuk artist from Iqaluit, Nunavut. I began beading after a friend taught me, and I continued to practice at Native Montréal.
When I moved back home, I taught myself how to sew and use sealskin. Working in an Inuit art boutique helped me learn a lot that I could teach others.
Inuit art is so precious, beautiful and I love how it’s a way to connect with people and to reconnect to the culture!
