She:kon! My name is Keri Mitchell, I’m a Mohawk from Akwesasne. Growing up in Akwesasne, I’ve been very fortunate to be surrounded and inspired by many amazing artists and crafters that used our Haudenosaunee imagery in their works.

When I was young, my mom taught me how to cross stitch. The skills I learned helped pave the way to my love of beadwork. I always saw my mom beading, but it was my partner that taught me to bead. I very much look forward to where my beading journey takes me.
