My name is Maizie Little Shields, I am an Indigenous artist from the Blood Tribe Reserve located in Southern Alberta, Canada. Growing up, I enjoyed watching my late Grandma bead. Her beadwork and unfinished projects were passed down to me after she left the spirit world. Beading reminds me who I am and where I come from; I grew up attending Sundance and ceremonies, so our cultural ways are a big part of my life.
