Being raised and taught by very creative and artistic women inspired me to grow in my creativity. My grandmother, my mother and sister being my main influences. My grandmother was a well known self employed artist all while raising 14 children. Selling her creations was how she got by. She always kept busy doing something. She would tell me when I was young that there was no such thing as being bored, and if I had nothing to do, she would hand me her beads, sewing materials or wool to keep me busy. My mother who was raised in my grandmothers sewing room also had great influence on me to try new things. She always kept us busy with crafts and influenced us to try new things. My older sister became a well known artist at a young age and seeing her flourish inspired me to try it for myself, especially after becoming a young mother at 18. Being home with my daughter gave me the opportunity to make something of my art and since then 15 years have passed and I have grown and flourished enough to become self reliant solely on my creations.
They all inspired me to become the artist I am today with such diverse artistic knowledge and creations. I was, and still am always learning new things from them and they inspire me to become innovative and not afraid to take risks.
