Paula Menarick is a traditional and contemporary artist, born and raised in Chisasibi. She grew up watching her mother, aunts and grandmothers make beautiful bead-work, embroidery, painting, crochet, knitting and sewing. At a young age, she admired and appreciated their crafting skills and knew that she would follow in their footsteps.
She is the owner of Fast Cloud Inspirations, where she sells her crafts to people all around Eeyou Istchee, Nunavik, Nunavut, Canada, the United States and overseas. Paula is also a Powwow Dancer since the age of two. As a fancy shawl dancer, it lifts her spirit and brings her joy to be able to dance and bring healing to the people. She teaches female powwow dancing, powwow regalia making and traditional contemporary craft making. She enjoys sharing culture and tradition with our future generations.
Paula Menarick is a traditional and contemporary Cree/Inuit artist. She does beadwork, embroidery, moose hide crafts, sealskin crafts, powwow outfits, Cree ceremonial outfits, ceremonial items, etc. She also makes 19 century James Bay Cree material culture originals and replicas. She is also a fancy shawl powwow dancer.
