My name is Riannon Tsosie, I’m a young Navajo artist from Arizona. My inspiration and creativity came from my grandparents growing up with them as a young girl.

I’ve always seen my paternal grandmother make authentic Navajo jewelry and would sometimes assist her in her work and just watch. As well as my maternal grandmother who introduced me to sewing as a young child. Although both my maternal and paternal sides of my family were very involved in the NAC community I’ve always had an admiration for the beautiful instruments that were used such as the bead work and craftsmanship of each tool that was used. Although most of my work have been self taught through reading and watching others, I’ll always give credit to my elders for introducing me to this lifestyle.
