My name is Shailla Manitowabie Cooke of Wikwemikong First Nation. I learned how to bead from my elders and women in my community, I find it to be a very sacred ritual and tradition that we must hold onto in order to protect our traditional ways and culture. I studied Fashion Techniques & Design and I love my culture and my art. It is something very special and sacred to me.
