Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation

I am an Indigenous artist residing in Spruce Grove Alberta, my home territory is Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation near Valleyview Alberta. I am mainly self taught, however, I have attended a number of courses such as The NICS School of Decorative Arts, Grant MacEwan University Fine Arts, and did an internship through Mona Brooks Drawing School. I have done mainly graphite portrait commissions since 2013, but I am multi disciplined and am proficient in illustration work, plasticine illustration, clay sculpture, acrylic paint, copic marker work, colour pencil work, and am currently studying tattoo art.

I have had many mentors through the years. I have been successful at finding the right people to show me the way and I ask a lot of questions; I truly enjoy learning and continually practice to learn more and perfect what I am working on.

I plan to do more personal works to share who I am and what is important to me, and hopefully make a positive impact on the challenges we face in our modern world.
