Creative art, history, and storytelling skills, all inherited by family from both Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee sides. Teachers were all those creatives in my life and also those elders and speakers within the communities who shared the stories of our past times and teachings. How we practice record keeping and the role of artistic visionaries to help inform nations of the knowledge from the past times. To understand the way historically all art I understood through history continued on with a Specialist Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College.

Michi Saagiig Anishinaabe Artist - from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation with family Haudenosaunee ties to Six Nation of the Grand River. The art practice reflectively goes through understanding Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee idenity and history, understanding the cultural context of the signs, symbols and stories. Understanding the influential practice of record keeping as an artist and the shaping of visual and participatory impact on community.

Exploring past and present techniques of artistic process in new and found/ repurposed materials. Turning a greater appreciation towards the ways our generations of native artistic practitioners influenced and shaped our cultural understanding of forms and functionality with artwork renderings and selective practice of material uses.
