I’m a 17-year-old artist from Swan River First Nation, 

Passionate about reconnecting with my culture through art. My journey began when my mom reached out to our band to see if my brother and I could join virtual craft nights. There wasn’t a virtual option at the time, but they kindly sent us patterns, YouTube links, and a supply list to make traditional moose hide mittens.

That experience sparked my love for beadwork. Since I didn’t have anyone to teach me, I started learning on my own by following patterns and online tutorials. Over time, I began developing my own designs—starting with my nature collection, inspired by some of my favourite places and memories.

Today, I’ve turned that passion into a growing small business that allows me to share my culture, creativity, and story through beadwork. My biggest accomplishment so far has been becoming a semi-finalist in PowWow Pitch 2025, an experience that motivated me to keep creating and connecting with others through my art.
