My name is Aaren McNary, I am a Plains Cree artist from Samson Cree Nation currently living in Red Deer, AB. I have always been interested in beading and was taught by my mother as a child.

My Mother was a victim of the Sixties Scoop and unfortunately passed at the young age of 56. Beading and creating traditional pieces helped me heal and it also brought me back to my Mother's teachings, memories, and positive state in life. I love creating something big and beautiful from little pieces as it truly brings me peace and comfort.
