My name is Christine Gautreau, I am from Nunatsiavut. I learned my skills by trying to reconnect to my culture by immersing myself in cultural materials. I had made jewellery for years but have reached out to other Indigenous artists for guidance and recently began using more natural materials such as sealskin, leather and sinew to complete projects.
