My name is Jamaica Cass, I am a Mohawk artist from a small town in Ontario. I was raised by a strong Mohawk woman who unfortunately died at a very young age. This drove me not only to pursue a career in healthcare, but also seek traditional ways of healing both the body and the spirit. Beadwork has helped me do this. I was very fortunate to learn this skill from another Tyendinaga community member.
