Crystal Fersovich

Métis

Crystal is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. While she has always lived in urban areas, her mother's side of the family is from Fishing Lake Métis Settlement in Eastern Alberta.

Although Crystal is a lawyer by trade, she has loved art since she could first hold a crayon. Art was a large part of her childhood, however, as she got older and had children of her own, she had less time to commit to her passion. Now that her children are adults, she has renewed her love for artistry and creation.

Crystal has taken courses at the Continuing Arts Center and Harcourt House in Edmonton and learned how to oil paint by Svetlana Kanyo. Her favourite subject matter to create has always been people. She enjoys the challenge of trying to capture an individual's essence through her art, whether drawing, painting, or by sculpture.
