I grew up watching my great grandmother make the most beautiful quill boxes, that of which you don't see too much of these days. I also watched my grandmother and mother work around the clock making mini birch bark canoes, dream catchers, earrings of all sorts, and the list goes on. I've learned many skills from them and am hoping one day to make a quill box of my own.

My artwork is inspired by mother nature and my designs are inspired by visions that come to me at random times. When I have a vision, it doesn't take me long to figure out what medium to use to make it come to a physical form.

I work with birch bark, porcupine quills, sweet grass, leather, bone, sinew, goose and grouse feathers, and gemstones like turquoise and amethyst. It is important to me that my artwork is made from ethically sourced materials from the land and animals.
